
ENTRIES will be received Friday July 30, from 12 noon-1:00 p.m. Judging will be on July 30. Exhibits open July 31, 2010. Rug entries Open to MSFA or ATHA members
The first CHALLENGE was in 2009, “Don’t be Wooden with your Log Cabin”. Extended by MSFA to the Quilters in Morgan County with exhibit during the Fair the first weekend in August. We had a great response, and asked the quilters to come up with the theme for 2010. They did!
Entries will be judged in three places quilts and rugs with cash awards of $10, $20, and $30.
Rules follow:
Use Perspective, show depth, distance and/or dimension with the 2-D techniques of quilting or rughooking. In other words geometrics using values to create motion, dimension; or pictorials which emphasize perspective and depth would be great design formats.
The work can be any shape but must fall in the size range of 24” x 24” to 36” x 36”.
It must be started and completed in 2009-2010.
The label identifying maker will be masked for judging.If the work does not fulfill the basic criteria it will not be judged for prizes.
Judging Criteria:

| E. Work done solely by submitting artist | 10 | |
| III. OVER-ALL APPEAL | 20 possible points | |
| A. Color choices are well planned for the work | 10 | |
| B. Design is well planned for the work | 10 | |
